Top Ten Reasons I Love Winter Golf!
It’s official, it’s Winter, and while the average leisure golfer is probably packing their clubs away until the Spring, I’m doing the opposite. I embrace the season, and relish the opportunity to take advantage of the benefits that Winter golf brings. Here are the top 10 reasons I love Winter Golf:
#1 The course is less busy, so I can take more practice shots and have a more relaxed pace of play.
#2 No leaves, makes it easy for me to find my ball on the rare (ooops, I meant regular) occasion that it winds up in the trees.
#3 No humidity means frizz-free hair before and after the round.
#4 Overcast days means I can leave the Sunscreen at home.
#5 I can take advantage of special discounted winter package rates.
#6 Its an opportunity to sharpen my skills and “wow” my friends in the Spring.
#7 No need for insect repellent.
#8 My clubs and shoes stay clean.
#9 I can play 18 holes without breaking a sweat (literally).
#10 My favorite reason of all…an opportunity to showcase my Winter Golf wardrobe which includes a collection of plaid sweaters and sweater vests.
