Super Bowl is headed to the Twin Cities
Super Bowl LII will be hosted at the Minnesota Vikings’ new stadium in 2018. A shiny new stadium with the latest technology and superior amenities outweighed February weather in the Twin Cities. The Minnesota Super Bowl Committee was not on the defense about the weather. They were completely on the offense discussing the unique activities and boasting Minneapolis’ eight miles of skyway. In short, the weather will be incredibly cold, but the stadium is going to be hot! Take a virtual tour here.
This is the second time that Minnesota will host the National Football League’s championship game. They hosted Super Bowl XXVI in 1992 in the now demolished Metrodome. Congratulations to Minnesota, the Vikings and fans! Special Heels & Helmets recognition to Marilyn Carlson Nelson, Chairman, Carlson Companies Inc. She presented this year’s winning bid and was on the team that brought Minneapolis its first Super Bowl. She is a playmaker!
Here are the locations for the next four Super Bowls.
February 2015 Arizona University of Phoenix Stadium
February 2016 San Francisco Levi’s Stadium
February 2017 Houston Reliant Stadium
February 2018 Minnesota New Minnesota Stadium
