Super Bowl 50: Panthers on Offense

The Carolina Panthers are headed to their second Super Bowl in franchise history. As they went through the regular season winning all of their games except one, everyone kept asking, “Are the Panthers real?” It is safe to say that they are indeed real. Captained by their multi-talented and charismatic quarterback, Cam Newton, the Panthers offense is strong and explosive and led the league in scoring.

Here are the probable starters and key players for the Panthers offense.

Read Offense Controls the Game to review the responsibilities of each player.

Quarterback
Cam Newton (#1) – The first pick of the 2011 NFL draft had 3,837 passing yards and 636 rushing yards. Clearly, he does not have any problems forgetting a pass and running. He had 43 touchdowns during the regular season. Yes, he is Superman. Plus, he has everyone dabbing’.

Center
Ryan Kalil (#67)

Guards and Tackles
Andrew Norwell (#68) – Left Guard
Trai Turner (#70)- Right Guard
Michael Oher (#73) – Left Tackle
Mike Remmers (#74) – Right Tackle

Tight End
Greg Olsen (#88)

Wide Receivers
Ted Ginn, Jr. (#19)
Philly Brown (#10)
Devin Funchess (#17) – May see some action; He was drafted to start as rookie, but the veteran Ginn played well.

Running Backs
Jonathan Stewart (#28)
Mike Tolbert, full back (#35)

Tomorrow we will look at the Denver Broncos’ top ranked defense.

Get in the game!
